Bernard R. Skelley, 88

Bernard R. Skelley of Poulsbo died Sept. 2, 2005 in Poulsbo. He was 88.

Skelley was born to Newton and Flora (Whitford) Skelley in Seattle on Nov. 17, 1916.

He married Joyce Ostrom in 1980 in Port Townsend.

Skelley was an Army sergeant during World War II and worked as a residential electrician at Poulsbo Electric before retiring in 1976.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Skelley is survived by son Dennis Paulson of Poulsbo; daughter Dianne Parris of Poulsbo; brother Homer Skelley of Poulsbo; sister Ruth Ryan of Poulsbo; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Skelley.

Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Vinland Lutheran Church.
