Lily Whiteley, 88

Poulsbo resident Lily Fay Whiteley (Toombs), died Jan. 17, 2006. She was 88.

She was born in Graham, Texas to Roy Dietz and Rose Ethel (Brown) Mote on March 12, 1917.

She moved from Texas to San Diego, Calif. in 1944 and worked in aircraft defense plant until the war’s end, then worked for 34 years for the U.S. Navy as a supply specialist.

She moved to Poulsbo on Nov. 19, 2002 to live with her sons Warren D. and Roy E. Whiteley.
