John D. McLaughlin, 40

Poulsbo resident John Daniel McLaughlin died May 12, 2006 at his home. He was 40.

McLaughlin was born to Clinton “Mac” and LavVerne “Bun” McLauglin in Bremerton on April 12, 1966.

McLaughlin graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1986.

He worked various jobs including logging in the Forks area and concrete and construction in Poulsbo and Arizona.

He enjoyed cooking, fishing, collecting Harley-Davidson memorabilia and music. He was an avid Seahawks fan and was completely devoted to his family.

McLaughlin is survived by his brothers Pat (Liz) McLaughlin of Freeland and Tim (Nancy) McLaughlin of Kingston; sisters Mary Blanchette of Poulsbo and Rose (Mike) Burkette of Redmond; numerous nieces and nephews; his goddaughter Jenny Maljian and “girls” Layla and Xena.

McLaughlin was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of his life will take place at 3 p.m. June 3 at the home of Larry and Karen Todd.
