Earl O. Goody, 76

Earl O. Goody died Sept. 13, 2006 in Bremerton. He was 76.

Goody was born to Fred and Mildren (Bates) Goody in Bellingham on March 5, 1930.

He married Jeannie (Gilman) Goody on Oct. 1, 1980 in Stateline, N.V.

Goody graduated from Sedro-Wooley High School in 1948.

He worked as a retail grocery store manager for 41 years before retiring.

Goody served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant from 1948 to 1952.

He enjoyed playing steel guitar in several country western bands. He was a life member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 76 in Seattle.

Goody is survived by his step-son Dan Shown of Allyn; daughter Teresa Goody of Aberdeen; step-daughter Teresa (Bob) Case of Poulsbo; and five grandchildren.

Goody was preceded in death by his wife Jeannie (Gilman) Goody.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 22, 2006 at the Lewis Funeral Chapel.
