Levina M. Putnam, 96

Levina Mary Putnam died Sept. 13, 2006 on Bainbridge Island. She was 96.

Putnam was born to Charles W. Dean and Margaret F. (O’Connell) in Lynn, Mass. on Oct. 3, 1909.

She married Erle H. Putnam on June 3, 1934.

Putnam worked as a homemaker, church leader and Cub Scouts den mother.

She enjoyed being a caring mother, grandmother and friend.

Putnam is survived by her sons Dean Putnam of Duxbury, Mass. and Richard Putnam of Poulsbo; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lynn, Mass.

A memorial service is being planned at the Island Health and Rehabilitation Center.
