David Lee Dykstra

David Lee Dykstra, 44

David Lee Dykstra of Bremerton died March 28, 2006 at his home. He was 44.

Dykstra was born to August George and Betty Jean (Dishman) Dykstra in Los Angeles, Calif. on April 16, 1961.

He attended Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, Calif.

He worked as a sous chef in California.

He enjoyed computers, cooking, his cats and auto and small engine mechanics.

Dykstra is survived by sons Benjamin Dykstra of Port Orchard and Cody Dykstra of Juneau, Alaska; daughter Deanna Dykstra of Poulsbo; brother Randy Dykstra of Poway, Calif.; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

An informal memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. April 6 at Old Man House Park in Suquamish.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Acme Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island. His remains will be placed at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
