Carl McGaffin

Carl McGaffin, 61

Kingston resident Carl “Skip” McGaffin died in Kingston on April 9, 2005. He was 61.

McGaffin was born to Rolson C. and Gertrude O. (Prentice) McGaffin in Aberdeen on Oct. 19, 1943.

He married Joann Rose Casterline in August 1991 in Kingston.

McGaffin graduated from high school in Adak, Alaska in 1964.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1978 and achieved the rank of E-5. He worked as a tool room mechanic at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 25 years before he retired.

McGaffin was a member of the Poulsbo Eagles Club and VFW of Kingston. He loved the Seattle Seahawks and enjoyed hunting, fishing with his family and bowling.

He is survived by his son Ty Galbraith of Sequim; daughter Crystal Galbraith of Silverdale; sister Kathy Rowland of Ore.; two grandchildren and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joann Rose McGaffin and sister Sherrie D. Oswalt.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. April 26 at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove.
