Alice M. Johnson, 92

Alice M. Johnson of Poulsbo died April 3, 2005 in Bremerton. She was 92.

Johnson was born to Gilbert and Alice (Jones) Paulson in Breidablik on Sept. 24, 1912.

She married Raymond E. Johnson in March 1937 in Poulsbo.

Johnson graduated from North Kitsap Union High School in 1930.

She worked as an operator at Poulsbo Rural Telephone Association, a bookkeeper for the City of Poulsbo, at the Port Gamble Hotel and North Kitsap High School.

Johnson was an active member of the Poulsbo Senior Citizens, the Royal Neighbors Association and the Poulsbo Sons of Norway.

Johnson is survived by her son Eugene R. (Susan) Johnson of Poulsbo; daughter Claudia (Dean) Halver of Kelso; sister Bernice Ferguson of Bremerton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond E. Johnson, sister Mabel and brothers Alfred and Stanley.

Inurnment will take place at Breidablik Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove in Poulsbo.
