WSDOT cautions travelers of large ferry rushes this Labor Day weekend

Edmonds and Kingston terminals among those expected to see the longest wait times

The Washington State Department of Transportation is giving precautions to travelers this Labor Day weekend, warning of the potential for large rushes aboard the Washington State Ferries.

The rush is expected to begin Thursday, August 29, with most customers sailing westbound, according to WSDOT. The Edmonds, Kingston, Mukilteo, Clinton and Fauntleroy terminal are expected to see the longest wait times in the system during the final holiday weekend of the season.
