Wind-blown tree nearly hits home

A wind-blown tree strains power lines near a home at 4132 W. F Street in Bremerton on Thursday. "It sounded like metal smashing metal ... BOOM!," said Angela Angelonis, who lives across the street from the home. She said the power went out at her home. She and a few other people stood across the street and watched firefighters investigate. They said the people living inside the home were told to stay inside.

Angelonis said the wind blew at speeds of about 30-40 miles per hour near her home that day.

Several reports of downed power lines have been reported on the police scanner today.
