Village Green’s Cider Press returns

If you’re one of those who was hoping for a return of the Village Green Cider Press event this year: Sandy and George Morgan stepped forward to keep the community tradition alive.

If you’re one of those who was hoping for a return of the Village Green Cider Press event this year: Sandy and George Morgan stepped forward to keep the community tradition alive.

It’s going to be held at the Village Green on Oct. 15, 4-6 p.m. We hope you’ve been setting your apples aside. If they’re stored in a cool, dark place, they’ll be perfect for the Cider Press.

Last year’s event was more fun than ever and we hope once again to have three presses, including a kid-sized one. We’ll provide containers if you don’t bring your own, and in keeping with Health Department recommendations, must ask that you refrain from drinking the cider until after you get home and boil it.

The event is free, open to all, and supported by volunteers who prep the apples and oversee the presses. If you’d like to be one of those volunteers, call or email Bobbie Moore: 360-297-2845, bobbie@myvillagegreen.org.
