People stand at the Bremerton ferry terminal while watching the Ranger pass by. “I feel sad,” said Robert Dess, one of those who watched the Ranger that day. He wore a USS Ranger ball cap. “I served two tours. My first duty station,” he said of the Ranger. Dess said he was a steward from 1968-1972 and a storekeeper from 1984-1986 aboard the ship.
