KINGSTON – A Bremerton woman was one of three people injured in a four-vehicle crash on State Route 104 Feb. 10.

A 1996 Chevrolet Metro driven by a Port Angeles woman, a 2008 Chevrolet Blazer driven by a 57-year-old Bremerton woman, and a 2006 Ford F-150 driven by a Poulsbo man were all headed west on SR104 and were stopped at a red light at the intersection with Hansville Road.

A 1995 Toyota Rav4 SUV driven by an 87-year-old Port Ludlow man was also westbound and was approaching the three stopped vehicles. The man was blinded by sunlight and lowered the sun visor. He then saw the three vehicles but was unable to stop in time and crashed into the Metro.

In a chain reaction, the Metro then struck the the Blazer, and the Blazer then struck the F-150.

The Port Ludlow man and Poulsbo drivers were not injured, but the other two drivers as well as one passenger were transported to area hospitals.

All five people involved were wearing seat belts.

The cause of the crash was speed too fast for conditions. Charges are pending.
