KINGSTON — Drivers who use State Route 104 will encounter evening single-lane closures over the next 10 weeks while crews repave SR 104 between Balmoral Place NE and the Kingston ferry terminal.

In the project, crews will also upgrade 19 sidewalk ramps to current ADA standards at four intersections in Kingston.

Starting Sept. 6, crews will begin work at the sidewalk ramps, the state Department of Transportation reported. Pedestrian access may be restricted during day and night hours at the following four intersections: Lindvog Road NE, NE West Kingston Road, Ohio Avenue NE, and Washington Boulevard NE.

On Sept. 12, paving along SR 104 will begin, the state Department of Transportation reported. Based on traffic volumes, the timing of the lane closures differs by location. In general, motorists can expect single-lane closures within the project limits each Sunday through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. Some areas close to the ferry terminal will close completely for paving during night hours, the state Department of Transportation reported.
