Soroptimist Bremerton accepting community service grant applications

BREMERTON - Over the past 71 years, Soroptimist Bremerton has awarded grant funds to numerous charitable organizations that demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of women and girls in their local communities. The club is pleased to announce once again that they are now accepting grant applications for the 2014-2015 club giving year.

BREMERTON – Over the past 71 years, Soroptimist Bremerton has awarded grant funds to numerous charitable organizations that demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of women and girls in their local communities. The club is pleased to announce once again that they are now accepting grant applications for the 2014-2015 club giving year.

During the club year ending June 30, 2014, Soroptimist Bremerton awarded community service impact grants to six organizations: Georgia’s House, Scarlet Road, Bloomington Transitional House, Westsound Treatment Center, Our G.E.M.S. (Girls Empowered Through Mentoring and Service), and Basic, Inc.

Qualified, charitable organizations are encouraged to consider submitting an application. Applications are available for download or may be submitted online at http://www.bremertonsoroptimist.org/awards-grants-programs.html. Please send an email to info@bremertonsoroptimist.org if you wish to have an application sent to you.

Completed applications must be submitted online or postmarked on or before May 15. Awardees will be notified by May 31, and awards issued mid-June.
