SKSD classes to resume two hours late on Tuesday

There will be no a.m. preschool and other early morning activities in the district.

PORT ORCHARD — Although most of the snow that fell over South Kitsap overnight has melted, South Kitsap School District is taking cautious measures in inviting back students and staff on Tuesday — classes will begin two hours late tomorrow.

The school district, which decided to close early this morning following a snowfall that blanketed roads in the district and elsewhere in Kitsap County, reported Monday afternoon there will be no a.m. preschool, Head Start, elementary band or breakfast program districtwide on Tuesday.

Bremerton School District was closed on Monday, as well.
