NK Pool offers early swim camp on Black Friday

The North Kitsap Community Pool will run a day camp for children ages 5-11 Nov. 25 and Nov. 27. Sessions run from 7 a.m. to noon and noon to 5 p.m. both days, with a special early session from 5-7 a.m. Nov. 27. Cost is $30 for a half day, $50 for a full day and $20 for the special early session. To register, call (360) 598-1070.

Join the Turkey Swim

The North Kitsap Community Pool will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 27 for the second annual Turkey Swim. The theme this year is “Swim to Norway.” Donations help support pool programs and the Poulsbo Piranhas swim team scholarship fund. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a mystery prize. The first 100 people will receive a free 2009 Turkey Swim commemorative button.

North Kitsap Future Farmers offers wreaths

The North Kitsap Future Farmers of America is having its annual wreath sale. A 24-inch wreath sells for $20, and a 16-inch wreath is $15. Wreaths will be available for pickup from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 5, and must be pre-ordered anytime before then. To order, email Jonathan Houk at jhouk@nkschools.org.

Suquamish Elementary hosts holiday bazaar

The Suquamish Elementary School PTSA will host a holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 in the school’s gym at 18950 Park Blvd. NE in Suquamish. Admission is free. Vendor spaces are available for $30, or $25 for PTSA members. A limited number of students will be invited to sell crafts, and pay $10 for their space. Vendors keep all profits. Kingston Repertory presents ‘A Christmas Carol’

Kingston Repertory and the Wolfle Elementary School PTA present “A Christmas Carol” Dec. 5-19 at Wolfle Elementary School. The show will run Saturdays and Sundays. Saturday shows are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday shows are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children under age 12. A family pack of four tickets is $25. On Dec. 12, bring a donation for Kingston’s Sharenet and receive $2 off ticket price. Tickets can be purchased at the Wolfle PTA office, online at www.kingstonrep.com or at the door. A portion of each ticket benefits the Wolfle PTA.

NKHS presents financial aid workshop

The North Kitsap High School PTSA will present a free workshop teaching parents and college-bound students how to apply and receive financial aid for college. The workshop is from 7-9 p.m. Dec. 9 in the NKHS commons. Frank Warner, CPA, will be the guest speaker. Call (360) 692-1040 to register.
