Patricia T. Milton died April 18. She was 68.

Born Patricia Louise Thebert on July 4, 1944 in Baton Rouge, La., to Fred and Ellen Thebert.

Lived in Michigan until age 7 and then in the Seattle area. Moved to Buckley in 1959. Lived on a farm and loved riding her horse Ginger. Competed in horse-racing events and at one time held the state record in the keyhole race.

Graduated with honors from White River High School in 1962. Went to nursing school at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Seattle. Worked as an RN in Seattle; joined the Army and served in Germany, Viet Nam and Japan.

Moved to the San Francisco area in the early 1970s; involved there in leathercraft and jewelry retail. Moved to Kitsap County where she met Darryl in 1978; they married on Valentine’s Day 1981.

Showed German Shepherds, gave pet obedience classes at her training building. Fished for salmon in the 1980s and ’90s at Pillar Point; RVd to the coast, Columbia River Gorge, Wenatchee, Port Townsend.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol; brother, Ralph. Survived by her husband, Darryl; brothers, Fred and Phil; sister, Liz. Family prefers donations to The German Shepherd Rescue, c/o Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue; or Kitsap County Humane Society Spay and Neuter clinic.
