Motorcyclist injured after being struck by alleged drunk driver

BREMERTON – A 58-year-old Port Orchard man was injured after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a another motorist Nov. 19.

BREMERTON – A 58-year-old Port Orchard man was injured after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a another motorist Nov. 19.

The crash occurred at 5:30 p.m. as both vehicles were traveling west on State Route 304 near Charleston Beach Roach. According to the Washington State Patrol, a 39-year-old Bremerton woman driving a 1995 Honda Accord made an unsafe lane change and struck a 2010 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by the Port Orchard man.

The man was wearing a helmet and was transported to St. Josephs Hospital in Tacoma to be treated for his injuries.

The WSP stated the Bremerton woman would be charged with vehicular assault and DUI.
