LeMieux featured author at library | Check It Out | November

Thank you to everyone who participated in the One Book, One Community event this year. We were thrilled to have the Friends of the Library provide copies of the John Steinbeck titles around our town and hope that many of you were able to pick one up and enjoy the great story.

Special thanks also to Craig Smith for his generous, free showing of both “The Red Pony” and “Of Mice and Men,” at the beautiful and comfortable Firehouse Theater, right here in Kingston.

Our children’s story times are on Wednesdays this month, Nov. 4, 18, and 25. (We will be closed on the Nov. 11 for the holiday.) Please come join our children’s librarian, Laura Warren, for fun stories, crafts, and music at 10:30 a.m.

The morning book group will be reading “Breakfast at Sally’s” by Richard LeMieux, at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 4. This is a local author who has been on the bestseller list and has an amazing tale to tell.

We will have members of the Kitsap Mycological Society here at the Community Center to tell about “Searching for Mushrooms” at 7 p.m. Nov. 9.

The Kingston Friends of the Library will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 10, in the Indianola Room, downstairs from the library in the Community Center.

They are always looking for your book donations and will pick them up as needed.

Just call the library at (360) 297-3330 and we will we will pass the information along to them.

Our classic book group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16. Please join us to discuss “East of Eden” by John Steinbeck.

Kitsap Regional Library has a wonderful new way of keeping you in touch with events we offer. You can even arrange for a reminder to appear in your email or your mobile phone. Let us help you to get this set up and receive the KRL news.

The month of November reminds us all of the bounty that we are blessed with in this country and in our community. We are thankful for the fabulous support of all the readers and library users here in Kingston and our surrounding area. Please do let us know how we are doing in providing library service to you.

We heartily encourage you to check us out.
