Large search and rescue set up to locate missing girl

Authorities have more than 80 searchers, including dog teams on the ground surrounding the Steele Creek Mobile Home Park where a child has gone missing. Jenise Paulette Wright, 6, was reported missing yesterday.

A command post has been set up by Kitsap County Sheriff’s authorities and multiple other agencies to search for Jenise Paulette Wright, a six-year-old girl who was reported as missing yesterday.

The child was last seen at her home where she lives with her parents and six siblings on Steele Creek Drive in East Bremerton. Two children were removed from the home by Child Protective Services this afternoon, according to Kitsap County Sheriff’s Spokesman Scott Wilson.

An 8-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl were removed from what Wilson called a “blended family” home. It is unknown at this time why the children were removed.

Jenise has a medium build, is about 3 feet tall with brown eyes and black hair. She is Caucasian and Native American/Filipino, according to sheriff’s reports. It is unknown what clothing she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.
