KPHD confirms one new COVID-19 case in Monday update

Countywide confirmed cases stand at 163, positive test rate is about two percent

One new case of COVID-19 was confirmed by the Kitsap Public Health District in its Monday update, bringing the countywide total to 163 cases.

The new case was added Sunday, May 31, giving Kitsap ten confirmed cases for the month.

A total of 7,232 residents have tested negative — of those tested, the positive test rate has dropped to about 2 percent.

Of the 163 cases, 51 have been reported in Bremerton, 39 in South Kitsap, 34 in North Kitsap, 28 in Central Kitsap and 11 on Bainbridge Island. Two coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed by Kitsap Public Health District as well.

The age breakdown for confirmed cases is as follows:

0 – 19: 7

20 – 29: 29

30 – 39: 20

40 – 49: 27

50 – 59: 42

60 – 69: 19

70 – 79: 13

80 and older: 6
