Input on Kitsap Homeless Housing Plan update sought at two public forums

PORT ORCHARD – The public is invited to provide feedback for the 2015 update to the Kitsap Homeless Housing Plan at stakeholder meetings to be held 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the Poulsbo City Hall Council Chambers, 200 NE Moe St., Poulsbo and Wednesday, 9-11:30 a.m. Aug. 5 in the meeting chambers of the Norm Dicks Government Center, 345 6th St., Bremerton. Those interested need only attend one of the meetings.

Draft strategies, activities, and action steps will be presented, followed by an opportunity for discussion and feedback. The 10-year anniversary of the Homeless Housing and Assistance Act and the first Kitsap Homeless Housing Plan will be celebrated as well.

After incorporating stakeholder input, the 2015 Update to the Kitsap Homeless Housing Plan will be drafted and released for further public comment in October, and then move to the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners for approval in November.
