Iconic Funk Band WAR to play a show at Admiral Theatre Friday

Show starts at 7:30 p.m. but the doors will be open at 6 p.m.

The early ’70s funk band, WAR, will be coming to Bremerton Friday night to play a show at the Admiral Theatre.

The band is known for hit songs such as Low Rider, Why Can’t We Be Friends, Cisco Kid, Spill the Wine and The World is a Ghetto. WAR was brought together by record producer and songwriter Jerry Goldstein and ex-lead singer of the British band The Animals, Eric Burdon. The ensemble has been honored with 17 gold, platinum or multi-platinum awards during their tenure.

The show will start at 7:30 p.m. and the doors will open at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $31 for the upper balcony, $46 for the balcony, $66 for loge seating and $91 for the main floor. The main floor audience will be offered a dinner menu, a dessert menu and adult beverages.
