Kitsap County Superior Court cases

Bail was set at $505,000 for a 66-year-old Port Orchard man charged in Kitsap County Superior Court with indecent liberties and possession of a dangerous weapon.

He faces 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine on the first charge and a year in jail and a $5,000 fine on the second.

Court records say Kitsap deputies arrested the man May 6 at 8:50 p.m. in the 700 block of NW Tracy Avenue in Bremerton. A woman said a man picked her and two friends up and was trying to get them high, first at the Tracyton Boat Launch and then at Lion’s Park.

The man said the woman had sent him naked pictures of herself. The man’s pants were unzipped, and the woman said he had groped her, and she spilled ice cream in her lap to deter him. He released flavored nitrous oxide into her mouth, and she lost consciousness. When she awoke, her pants were unzipped and shirt lifted above her breasts. The suspect also had a spring-blade knife in his pocket.

Bail $1 million for man

Bail was set at $1 million for a 39-year-old Silverdale man charged in Superior Court April 29 with three sex crimes.

He faces three life in prison and $50,000 fines for rape of a child, and two counts of child molestation.

Naval Criminal Investigative Service Certificate of Probable Cause papers say the victim’s mother reported that her boyfriend sexually assaulted her daughter. Her ex-husband said the daughter had night terrors, screaming “get off me” in her sleep. The girl said they would touch each other’s privates. She told officials it had been going on for a long time, and he told her not to tell her parents.

A 35-year-old Port Orchard woman with the eBay name Beautiful_B89 was in Superior Court May 5 charged with trafficking and possession of stolen property, which was bagpipe accessories.

Bail was $50,000. She faces 10 years and $20,000 in fines on both charges.

Court documents show the woman was arrested by Kitsap deputies May 2 at 5:13 p.m. in the 1500 block of SE Cedar Road in Port Orchard. The victim said he had nine packages stolen from his front porch. They contained bagpipe accessories valued at $21,500. He assembles the products for his job.

Officials found six eBay listings from Beautiful_B89 that matched the unique stolen property. There was a photo of the suspect. The owner of BagpipeLessons.com found a Facebook profile of a woman whose photo matched the suspect. Officers went to that address. The woman admitted she tried to sell the items, but said she did not steal them. She said two acquaintances did, and they asked her to sell them.

‘Punisher’ tattoo on hand

A 34-year-old Seattle man with a “Punisher” tattoo on his hand was in Superior Court May 2 charged with identity theft.

Bail was $70,000. He faces 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

Court papers say the victim realized that April 26 someone stole two firearms and a credit card from his truck. The card was used to buy gift cards or pre-paid Visa cards for between $700 and $800 at the Walmart and Safeway in Poulsbo and the Lowe’s in Silverdale.

A suspect was identified after photos from store videos were sent to other law enforcement in Kitsap County. The pictures were compared to booking photos. A “Punisher” tattoo on the back of his right hand was distinct.

A 42-year-old Port Orchard man was in Superior Court May 1 charged with assault.

He faces 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

Court records show Kitsap deputies arrested the man April 30 at 1:41 a.m. at Kidd Avenue SE apartments in Port Orchard.

When officers arrived, they heard the suspect say “stop please” and “get off me.” He was being held on the ground by his son. The dad was being confrontational to family so the son intervened. They pushed each other then the dad got the son in a “rear naked” stranglehold, which caused him to struggle to breathe. The son escaped, but the dad hit him in the head with a coffee pot just before officers arrived.

A 41-year-old Bremerton man “obsessed with camo” was in Superior Court May 1 facing three charges.

He could receive a maximum of 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines on two possession of stolen vehicle charges, along with five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for unlawful possession of a firearm. Bail was $125,000.

Court records show Kitsap deputies arrested the man April 30 at 8:14 p.m. in the 6300 block of Rest Place NE in Bremerton.

The officer saw a motorcycle with no plates. He checked for the vehicle identification number, and it was scraped off. Bremerton police confirmed it was stolen. The cycle had been spray-painted in camouflage colors. The garage was open, and inside were similar bikes with the same spray-painted colors. After a search warrant was obtained, a suspect was identified. He was wearing a camo booney hat, camo belt and camo shoes.

Bail was set at $500,000 for a 33-year-old Bremerton man charged with robbery April 28.

He faces 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Court papers say Bremerton police arrested the man April 26 at 4:28 p.m. in the 1300 block of Sylvan Way.

Kitsap deputies had set up containment and started a K9 track at Illahee Preserve for a robbery suspect. The victim said he was punched in the face by a man using brass knuckles, who then took $380 out of his pockets. The victim knew the suspect, who was homeless and had actually stayed with him, knowing he had just received some insurance money. The suspect was found later hiding in dense brush. He gave up to avoid being bitten by the dog.

A 37-year-old Edmonds man was in Superior Court May 8 charged with burglary.

Bail was $100,000. He faces 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

Court documents say Poulsbo police received an email from Walmart’s internal theft identification system Jan. 17 about a theft at 21200 Olhava Way NW the day before. A suspect was identified through booking photos, stealing almost $1,432 in merchandise.

Video shows the suspect leaving the store with a TV, sound bar and ratchet straps. When stopped by an employee, he pulls out an old receipt that the worker identifies. Employees try to stop him and recover some items, but he gets away with the sound bar. The suspect used the same procedure a few days later, and had in the past at the same store chain. He was recently arrested.
