The Kitsap Tennis & Athletic Center (KTAC) will offer two courses to enhance and improve health. Both will be taught by Walter Moller, guild certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, who has completed leadership training at Stanford University Patient Education Research Center.

“Awareness Through Movement” incorporates the empowering and holistic methods of the Feldenkrais Method, designed by Moshe Feldenkrais. By increasing a person’s kinesthetic and proprioceptive self-awareness of functional movement, this can lead to increased function, reduced pain, and greater ease and pleasure of movement. The class will be held every Tuesday starting April 15 from 7:30 to 9 p.m., and will run for six weeks. The class is $60 for members and $75 for non-members.

The six-week “Living Well” program, developed at Stanford University, allows people to discover new and practical ways to live better and healthier: control pain, deal with fatigue, frustration, and isolation, eat well, increase energy, and more. The free class will be held April 16 through May 21, every Wednesday from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.

The Kitsap Tennis & Athletic Center, located on 1909 NE John Carlson Road in East Bremerton, is a full-service athletic center with tennis courts, a salt-chlorinated pool, racquetball courts, and much more.
