At the library, we can show you how to find information for reports, study a foreign language, review math, and direct a question to a library tutor.  After a summer full of fun family programs, Kitsap Regional Library is getting ready for school and Fall at the Mall programs. Pick up a brochure the next time you visit us for a complete listing.

Here is what is happening in September at your library.

— Kingston Book Group: Sept. 5, 10:30 a.m. in the Indianola Room. We will discuss “Tinkers” by Paul Harding.

— Swingin’ With Dean Show: Sept. 8, 4-5 p.m.  Blues, jazz, rock, soul and swing hits of great American artists from the 1940s-70s. Swingin Dean touches on the styles of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Cole Porter, Ray Charles, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, The Beach Boys, The Young Rascals, Neil Diamond, The Temptations, Santana, and Gary Puckett, along with a few of his originals. His concerts are fun for the whole family and dancing is encouraged.

— Pajama Storytimes: Sept. 10 and 17, at 7 p.m. Come hear a bedtime story or two.  Children are free to wear their pajamas.

— Kingston Writers Group: Second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Indianola Room. Join a friendly supportive group convening for the purpose of encouraging the writing of poetry, nonfiction or fiction. Beginners are welcome.

— Classics Book Group: Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m.  We’ll be discussing “Ship of Fools” by Katherine Porter.

— Seattle Opera Preview Lecture with Norm Hollingshead. “Fidelio” by Ludwig van Beethoven.  Sept. 22, at 2 p.m.

LITTLE BOSTON EVENTS
— Preschool Storytime:  Sept 4, 11, and 18 at 1 p.m.  Come for a fun afternoon full of stories, songs, and crafts. Especially for children ages 3 to 5 years.

— Little Boston Book Group: Sept. 5, 11 a.m. to noon. We’ll discuss “Unfamiliar Fishes” by Sarah Vowell.

— Adult Crafternoon:   Sept. 5, 12, 19, 26 at 2:30 p.m.  Bring your handwork projects and see our newest craft books.

— Origami: Sept. 5, at 1:30 p.m. Artistic and fun origami.
