The following cases have been filed in Kitsap County Superior Court:

Drug Possession:  A 33-year-old Kitsap man was charged with felony possession of heroin.

Assault in the third degree: On July 17, a 39-year-old Kitsap man made the serious mistake of assaulting a police officer when that officer was attempting to serve a warrant for his arrest. The charging papers note that the maximum penalty for such a brain fade is a $10,000 fine and a year in jail.

Violation of Protection Order: A 43-year-old Kitsap man was charged with a criminal complaint for the gross demeanor of violation of a court-ordered protection order to stay a certain distance from another person.

Criminal Trespass: A 31-year-old Kitsap woman was charged with felony Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree for unlawfully breaking into a building.

Third Degree Theft: A 29-year-old man was charged with Theft in the Third Degree for stealing from, of all things, a Goodwill Thrift Store.

Fugitive from Justice: A 33-year-old woman has been criminally charged with being a fugitive from justice from another state (in this case, Tennesee). The woman will be extradited back to Tennessee as her case is adjudicated.
