Thomas classified employee of the year

Emerald Heights Elementary employee Rebecca Thomas was recognized as 2015 Olympic Educational Service District Regional Classified Employee of the Year. Thomas is one of nine people who will be considered for the state-level title. The winner at the state level will get to meet Gov. Jay Inslee for lunch.

Danner assistant principal of the year

CKHS Assistant Principal Gail Danner was recognized as 2014-15 Washington Association of Secondary School Principals’ Assistant Principal of the Year. She will visit Washington, D.C., in April to compete at the national level.

Two surplus school buses for sale

The district will surplus two 78-passenger Bluebird school buses. One is a 1997 model with 226,000 miles and the other is a 1998 model with 139,000 miles.
