CENTRAL KITSAP – Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue firefighters responded to a structure fire on Bridle Wood Place NW April 29. No one was injured in the fire.

CKFR’s Dave Tucker said the cause of the fire was yet to be determined. He said the fire appeared to have started in the attic, causing smoke to waft from the roof and eaves of the unoccupied home.

Tucker said when firefighters arrived they checked the home for signs of forced entry and found the home was secure. They then forced open the front door to put out the fire.

Although no one was currently residing at the home, it still had electrical power, Tucker said.
