Part of the fun of this festival will be the activities for folks to get involved in with their dogs.

Does your dog have a long nose? Floppy ears? A waggly tail? Every dog has some special quality that sets him/her apart. Bring your pooch on down and let our judges decide what they think your dog’s special something is in our “I’m Sumpin’ Special” Dog Show.

Is your dog a crooner? Will he sing along with you? Does he sing when you play an instrument? Will he sing for a treat? Enter our Canine Crooners competition and see if your pup is the best howler in Kingston.

Are you and your pup fashion queens? Perhaps he is the Toto to your Dorothy, or the Batman to your Robin. Join our Owner/Dog Costume Contest and share your dramatic flair with the rest of us.

We are also calling all dashchunds to join our Doxin Race. No professional race training or experience is required, just short stubby legs, extra long body, floppy ears and a sense of fun.

These contests are open to kids, adults and dogs of all ages.

Call Country Pet Shoppe at (360) 297-4165 to register for any or all of the competitions. Registrations will also be accepted at the event, but pre-registration is preferred.

Whether you are competing or not, be sure to mark the day in your calendar and make your plans to join the newest, most fun event in Kingston – PAW-Fest!
