A Bremerton police officer involved in a collision at the corner of Warren Avenue and 11th Street on Monday morning sounded less than pleased with the situation as he radioed in for a tow truck and supervisor to respond to the scene.

According to a Washington State Patrol collision memo, officer Donnell Rogers was driving a fully marked cruiser with emergency lights and siren activated northbound on Warren Avenue when he slowed at a red light in the left lane at 11th Street intersection. The state patrol says that Bremerton resident Darrell B. Wylie, who was stopped at the light in a red 2008 Ford Ranger pickup, was in the right lane.

As the light turned green, officer Rogers and Wylie both turned right onto 11th Street and collided in the intersection. Neither driver was inured.

The police cruiser was towed from the scene and the pickup was driven from the scene. The state patrol said the cause of the wreck remains under investigation and no citations were issued.
