Harrison workers authorize one-day strike

Professional and technical workers at Harrison Medical Center overwhelmingly authorized a one-day strike during voting in Bremerton on Tuesday.

 

One arrest made following two robberies, stabbing in East Bremerton

Rian Stephon McNair, 22, of the 7300 block of Blackbird Drive NW in Bremerton, has been charged with robbery in the first degree in Kitsap County District Court.

 

Former Kitsap County resident Matt Frey will return to Seattle from Iowa this weekend to attend the NFC Championship. Frey still owns two season tickets at Century Link Field.

While growing up in DeWitt, Iowa, Matt Frey used to collect miniature NFL football helmets with his brother. “The Seahawks was always one of my favorites,” he said. “I liked them when they had Jim Zorn and Steve Largent.” Ironically enough, the Navy brought Frey to Kitsap County where he spent about 17 years living in Silverdale, Bremerton or Port Orchard and his love of the Seahawks soared.
