SILVERDALE – A Bremerton motorcyclist was injured after his vehicle was rear-ended by a sedan as he was stopped at a stop sign along State Route 303 on Feb. 8.

The 56-year-old man had stopped his black 2006 Ducati 749 motorcycle at the stop sign at the bottom of the ramp on Central Valley Road and was preparing to enter onto southbound SR303 around 4 p.m.

A 35-year-old Bremerton woman who was driving a gray 1999 Toyota Camry sedan pulled behind the motorcyclist.

Thinking the motorcyclist had already pulled onto SR303, the woman pulled forward and rear-ended the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was injured and transported to Harrison Medical Center. He was wearing a helmet, and he had a motorcycle endorsement on his license. The woman was not injured.

Both vehicles were damaged. The Camry was driven from the scene while the motorcycle was impounded.
