PORT ORCHARD — Travelers who use SR 16 traveling from Gig Harbor to Port Orchard can expect up to a 20-minute delay during the day, according to the state Department of Transportation.
From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday, March 15-17, WDOT maintenance crews will reduce westbound SR 16 to one lane after the Pierce and Kitsap County line at milepost 19. The lane closure will allow crews to create a work zone to repair a damaged barrier, state officials said.
People driving that route are encouraged by WDOT to consider adding extra time to help prevent delays to their commute.
