3 p.m.: Christening ceremony for North Kitsap Fire & Rescue’s new fire-rescue boat, at Port of Kingston’s Mike Wallace Park. Funded primarily by a federal port security grant and built by Oregon’s North River Boats, the Valor-class vessel was delivered in November and has already been used to help fight a shore-side blaze and to provide vital assistance at a recent marina fire.

Scheduled speakers include U.S. Rep. Derek Kilmer, D-Bremerton; and Capt. M.W. “Joe” Raymond, USCG, commander of Sector Puget Sound.

There will be songs from the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe and Suquamish Tribe, as well as a demonstration of the boat’s capabilities and an opportunity to tour the vessel.

— 5:30-9 p.m.: Celebration of Martha & Mary’s 125th anniversary, Kiana Lodge, 14976 Sandy Hook Road, Suquamish. Celebrate Martha & Mary’s milestone and its mission of caring for Kitsap children, seniors and their families.
