through man’s jacket

A 44-year-old Central Kitsap woman is suspected of stealing keys to a Lincoln Navigator at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino on May 12.

The victim, a Silverdale man, said he had left the keys in his jacket pocket while he went to the restroom. When he returned, the jacket was not on the back of the chair where he had left it.

He reported it missing to the lost and found and was told that it was just turned in. When he checked, the keys to his car and home were missing.

The suspected woman was seen on security cameras taking the jacket into the woman’s restroom before turning it into lost and found. After, the woman is caught on tape sitting in her Jeep Cherokee, parked next to the Navigator.

The Navigator’s lights and horn came on and off in unison signifying the locking mechanisms activation and deactivation before she drove away. Police tracked her residence through her license plates.

When police arrived at her home, she admitted taking the jacket but denied knowing anything about the keys.

The investigation continues.

A 22-year-old Suquamish man is suspected of breaking into and burglarizing a home on Angeline Avenue South NE in Suquamish.

When officers arrived, the front door window was broken out and the suspect had fled.

The deputy’s K9 partner was deployed to search for the culprit.

The dog led the chase down to the beach and up to Old Man Park where another officer had apprehended the suspect.

The bottom of the man’s shoes matched the shoe prints he left running on the wet sand.

The man was turned over to Suquamish Police Department for booking and processing.
