Winter reading (and listening) at the library | Check It Out | February

Every summer the library hosts a reading program for children. Last summer, when I was the Youth Services librarian for Kingston, we had many programs that inspired children to read during the break.

When the Reptile Man came, all the reptile books flew off our shelves. When we had a “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” event, we placed Rick Riordan books into eager hands.

Now we are presenting a Winter Reading Program for adults. Read (or listen to) a book of your choice and write a short book review about why you did or didn’t like the book. Submit it online at www.krl.org, and your review may be posted. All entries go into a series of drawings for gift cards at local bookstores.
