Take a sip at Brewed Awakening beer and art show Feb. 20

Slaughter County Brewing Company is hosting “Brewed Awakening” at its Port Orchard location, 1307 Bay St., on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Slaughter County Brewing Company is hosting “Brewed Awakening” at its Port Orchard location, 1307 Bay St., on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The event runs from 12-9 p.m.

According to host Danielle Rimbert, this Washington Beer Open House event will be “a funky show with a sense of humor.” She said about a dozen artists will present a variety of beer-themed art pieces in mediums ranging from ceramic and metal sculpture, photography and painting to cartoonists and illustrators.

Brewery tours will be conducted all day at the brewery. There’ll be samples of their bottled off-season seasonals and barrel-aged specials. Free snacks and a full gourmet pizza menu is available.

Those from Bremerton can take the Bremerton/Port Orchard foot ferry, then walk a half-mile to the site. Bring your transfer/receipt and get your $2 fare discounted with your first purchase.
