Bill and Barbara Erickson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Aug. 20 with a gathering at My Girl Drive-In Museum in Kingston.

The Ericksons were married on Aug. 20, 1966 in Great Falls, Montana. The former Barbara Hoffman was born and raised there; Bill was born in Glasgow, Montana and grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They both attended and graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, which is where they met.

Barbara has been a lifelong educator in biology and art; Bill was a civilian personnel management specialist with the U.S. Air Force and the Office of Personnel Management. They lived in Montana, Colorado, Texas, and Idaho before moving to Poulsbo in 1980.

Both are retired and enjoy various outdoor activities and volunteer work.
