Free lunch for kids offered at Centennial Park

POULSBO — Fishline, a group that serves North Kitsap by providing food, emergency services and other resources to those in need, recently announced a free summer meal program called Community Lunch in the Park.

The program takes place each Wednesday through August 29 from noon-1 p.m. at Centennial Park in Poulsbo. Chef Robert from Crabtree Kitchen serves up a nutritious, delicious lunch, and those 18 years old or younger eat for free. Adults can enjoy the lunch for a suggested donation of $5.

Donations go toward Fishline’s children’s programs, which include Food For Thought, The Birthday Fairy, Christmas Child and a backpack/school supplies program.

The free meal program is supported by donations from Central Market and Divine Cafe, and kids’ activities are provided by the Historical Society, the Poulsbo Fire Department, the Poulsbo Police Department and the Kitsap Regional Library.

Those looking to donate or volunteer can email info@nkfishline.org.
