A fresh take on senior nutrition

Do you qualify for vouchers to purchase  fresh local organic produce at your local farmers markets?

The Senior Nutrition  Farmers  Market Program is available in North Kitsap once again this summer. Low-income seniors, 60 and older can call Chuckwagon Director Deborah Horn at 1-888-877-8511 to apply.

Nutrition vouchers will be available for starting June 6 and can be used all through the market season. In addition, the senior program has bags of farmers market produce delivered  free of charge to  low income homebound persons starting later in the season.  Call  Horn to apply for this service.

If you do not personally qualify please share this information with possible clients, food bank volunteers, churches, civic groups.

You can help spread word to North Kitsap seniors so they can benefit from access to fresh, healthy, locally grown food.
