What’s so humane about crippling taxes?

Array

Aren’t we proud of ourselves? I mean we, you and I, are the government and we do good work.

Recently we’ve closed two local restaurants, putting some 120 people out of work. Plus parts of a supermarket clerk, a barber, a hardware store clerk and many others.

Are those 120 folks going to get unemployment? Do we pay for that?

Since they can no longer afford any kind of insurance, are we going to pay through the nose for those kinds of things?

But we do good work, and we’re the government. We’d never do anything to hurt those hard-working people, would we?

Maybe next time we should try negotiation. Maybe we should be doing better work.
