North Kitsap High School’s new principal greets community

Judson Miller, who recently started his new position, replaced Kathy Prasch.

Hello North Kitsap school community,

My name is Judson Miller and I am the new principal of North Kitsap High School. I have had a productive July getting to know many of you and preparing for the upcoming school year. Our school community (parents, guardians, extended family, neighbors, alumni, and Poulsbo citizens), is one that I am proud to represent as a new Viking! As many of you know, North Kitsap High School (NKHS) has a rich tradition in which students excel both in the classroom and as contributing citizens in the many extra-curricular programs we are fortunate to offer.

My primary goal is to recognize our strong academic background in addition to our proud traditions which will enable our students to flourish in an ever changing world. This includes continuously shaping a school environment which is safe, welcoming, and focused on student achievement. I know that this task extends far beyond my office. The success of NKHS and the community we serve is a joint effort and a partnership I will continue to cultivate. Your generous support of our fantastic school is an essential component to student success.

I value the relationship that is shared between our close community and NKHS. As partners, we will continue to shape a school that is both inclusive and focused on academic excellence. Sept. 7 is fast approaching we are busy preparing for another great year, please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the many community events NKHS is fortunate to be a part of.

Sincerely,

Judson Miller

Principal

North Kitsap High School
