Firehouse Theater is a gem

I write to encourage anyone that hasn’t yet gone to a movie at the Firehouse Theater in Kingston to do so. Please support this local business to ensure it will be around for many years to come.

The owner’s passion for the film industry is evident in the thoughtful selection of movies and the design of the two small intimate theaters.

My personal favorite is the Backstage Theater. I especially enjoy the pre-movie chats with the owner about the film you are about to watch and upcoming films. You won’t get that at a multiplex where the major concern is moving people in and out as quickly as possible for the next showing.

The Firehouse Theater is the perfect place to introduce your children and grandchildren to the pleasure of sitting in a movie theater watching a film with your family and neighbors. The two theaters are clean, the seats are comfortable and the sound system is great. Yes, renting a DVD may be easier and less expensive but a trip to the Firehouse Theater is a small-town experience that is something to treasure.

P.S.: I think they use real butter on the popcorn.
