SUQUAMISH — Kiana Lodge was chosen as the “Best Wedding Venue” in South Sound magazine and received a “Best of Weddings” designation from the TheKnot.com, the online wedding planning site.

South Sound magazine readers voted online over several months, selecting their favorites in a number of categories. Winners were revealed in the magazines April/May “Best of South Sound” issue.

TheKnot.com’s “Best of Weddings” designation is determined via a rating system fueled by user reviews.

Kiana Lodge (www.kianalodge.com) is owned by the Suquamish Tribe.

The magazine named the following characteristics that made Kiana Lodge a favorite: Rustic elegance, gardens, access by land or sea, a floating dock, natural surroundings and a waterfront view of Puget Sound.

Indoor weddings can accommodate up to 300 guests and outdoor weddings offer seating to more than 350. Wedding parties pay no state sales tax, and receive discounted room rates at the Clearwater Casino Resort and complimentary shuttle service from the resort to Kiana.
