POULSBO — The American College of Radiology has awarded InHealth Imaging a three-year term of accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as the result of a recent review.

MRI is a noninvasive medical test that utilizes magnetic fields to produce anatomical images of internal body parts to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.

“There are very few centers that have earned this designation and we are very proud of the quality that we are delivering to our patients,” said Manfred Henne, MD, board certified radiologist at InHealth Imaging.

“We have worked diligently to qualify for this designation and are gratified that [American College of Radiology] has acknowledged our accomplishments with the MRI gold seal designation.”

According to the American College of Radiology, the gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting the college’s Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are considered experts in the field.

The evaluation assesses image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs.

The American College of Radiology is a national professional organization serving more than 36,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists.
