Ground broken on new Stepping Stones children’s center

PORT ORCHARD — The owner and staff members of Stepping Stones Learning Center and Preschool will break ground on their new facility Nov. 28 at the site of construction: 1914 Pottery Ave. in Port Orchard.

Community leaders also will be at the ceremony, set for 3 p.m.

“The demand for a quality early childhood educational facility has far exceeded our expectations,” said owner Terri Dettloff. “We are incredibly excited to deliver a facility that is second to none in South Kitsap.”

Dettloff also will speak at the ceremony about the programs the center has developed for children over the past decade.
