ENDJ receives national recognition for third consecutive year

Entertainment Northwest Disc Jockeys, a Kingston-based entertainment agency specializing in weddings and corporate events, was recently presented with the Best Of Weddings award from The Knot Magazine and Web site for 2009 for the Northwest region. This is the third consecutive year the company has received the award, according to ENDJ President/CEO Ed Waterman, placing the company in elite standing as only one of a handful of Northwest wedding companies that have won the award three times.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with our third award in three years. The Knot is the leading bridal magazine and Web site in the country,” said Waterman. “This award is special because it is based on independent market research of thousands of actual brides after their weddings have taken place. It basically means we have one of the highest client satisfaction rates in the Northwest for our industry. This is a very difficult, high-expectation business with many variables that affect the outcome of events, so we obviously are doing a lot of things right to be rated so high year after year.”

The company attributes their success to development of a 100 point quality control program that acts as a blueprint for ensuring quality customer service from the first contact with a prospective client through the final minutes of the wedding reception and the send off of the bride and groom in their limousine. The program guides clients in planning for their wedding so the ceremony and reception flow properly and the client has a high probability of hosting a successful event.

“Pre-planning an event correctly is 90 percent of the battle,” Waterman said. “We have great people and the quality control system we have spent years developing takes a lot of the guesswork out of planning events and gives us and our clients a chance to do some great things on event day.”
