A free rose for veterans during Memorial Day weekend

POULSBO — Flowers To Go is giving a free rose to veterans at all of its locations on May 22-23, to demonstrate, the company said in a press release, “appreciation for the sacrifices and successes made by service members past and present.”

“Memorial Day has always meant a lot to me. It is more than just a three-day weekend,” Flowers To Go president William Gross said in a press release. “It is a time for us as a community to honor those that serve and protect our country. I hope that by giving away hundreds of roses this will let veterans know we appreciate what they have done for us and help the community create lasting memories as they honor their loved ones. “
